The Jan Deyl Conservatory and Secondary School is situated in the former early Baroque palace of the Straka of Nedabylice. The school’s current focus with a nationwide scope follows the activities of the Deyl Institution, founded by Dr. Jan Deyl, a renowned ophthalmologist and scientist, in 1910. Originally, the teaching aimed primarily at visually impaired people; nowadays, students learn mutual respect and acceptance of differences within the inclusive education programme. The school prepares students for further artistic studies and, in addition, helps piano tuners and piano makers find employment.
